The information rollout for the Dead Space remake is gearing up in earnest now. The sci-fi survival horror remake is set to launch in January, ahead of which EA and developer Motive Studio has started revealing concrete details about what players are going to be in for, from new narrative-focused side quests and expanded lore to the entire game being a single sequential shot with no camera cuts, a la God of War.
Now, the remake’s Xbox Store page has gone live as well, and while the text in its blurb is focused largely on brief details that have already been known about the game some while, there are some interesting points confirmed and reiterated as well- such as support for 4K and 60 FPS, spatial audio, ray tracing support, and more.
More prominent, of course, are the new screenshots. Motive Studio has emphasized on a number of occasions that it’s looking to bring Dead Space as a visual experience up several notches, and it certainly seems that way. The screens – showing several locations, anti-gravity, and protagonist Isaac Clarke taking aim against an oncoming Necromorph – look gorgeous. Check them out below.
Recent reports have suggested that substantial new details and gameplay footage for Dead Space will also be going live in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned for that.
Dead Space launches on January 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
