Kojima Productions revealed previously that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach would take place outside of the United Cities of America. With various new previews, including by the PlayStation Blog, now available, it’s confirmed that players will venture to Mexico and Australia.
Set 11 months later, the sequel starts in Mexico, where Sam lives with Lou. After taking a request from Fragile and running into an “incident,” he eventually travels to Australia, which must be reconnected like the UCA. While the first game was a slower burn, the preview noted a faster pace in the sequel with much earlier access to new equipment and structures.
Some of the locations that Sam will traverse include an animal sanctuary in Australia with kangaroos, wallabies and other animals. To further admire the game’s beauty, a new Aerial Camera has been added. Switch to this, and you get a birds-eye view of the terrain, which could also be useful for noting different points of interest.
Launching on June 26th, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be available for PS5. You can head here for more details, like the new Proficiency levels and Traits and how they help diversify one’s playstyle.
