Death Stranding Is Undergoing Polishing As Kojima Prepares For His “Next Project”

Also, Keanu Reeves recently visited Kojima Productions.

Exactly two months from now, Death Stranding will finally be out in the wild. Given that timeline, you’d assume that development of the game is approaching its final stages, and that very much seems to be the case, going by recent updates on social media by Hideo Kojima.

Taking to Twitter, Kojima confirmed that Death Stranding is currently undergoing polishing, and that he’s also preparing for the game’s big Tokyo Game Show appearance, where he’s bound to show 80 minutes of content across two panels dedicated to the game. Interestingly enough, Kojima also mentioned that alongside promotions for Death Stranding itself, he’s also gearing up for his “next project.” Is he simply referring to something else related to the game – perhaps launch event, or maybe even a post-launch expansion – or is he already ready to move on to his next game, with development not even having wrapped up on his current one? Take a holiday, Kojima-san.

Meanwhile, here’s something else you might find interesting- everyone’s favourite actor Keanu Reeves recently visited Kojima Productions, with Kojima tweeting some images of said visit. We learned not too long ago that the role for Cliff could have gone to Reeves, before Kojima ultimately decided to go with Mads Mikkelsen instead. Could Keanu Reeves instead have landed a different role in the game- maybe a small cameo of sorts? Or maybe it’s just a friendly visit to the studio.

Finally, Kojima also shared a new screen of the game showing off Death Stranding’s beautiful environments. Take a look below.

Death Stranding is out on November 8 exclusively for the PS4.
