Destiny 2 – Best Dressed Commendation Coming in Mid-Season Patch

Instead of Season 21, the fashion-based Commendation will go live in Season of Defiance, though only for "low trust" activities.

Destiny 2’s new Commendations, tied to Guardian Ranks, have seen significant feedback since its launch. Bungie has reduced the Commendations required to progress through the Ranks and announced a new type, Best Dressed, to let players commend the most fashionably sensible. After all, the fashion game is arguably as important as any other end-game activity.

While initially planned for Season 21, the latest “This Week at Bungie” reveals that the Commendation will arrive in Season of Defiance. Included in the upcoming mid-season patch, it won’t have a “large Commendation score” since the objective is “the most accolades” instead of “the highest score.” It’s also restricted to matchmade “low trust” activities that require little communication.

Raids, Dungeons and Trials of Osiris don’t fall under those categories, so expect to see them in Wellspring, Strikes, etc. Also, you can’t give a Best Dressed Commendation to a clanmate. “This isn’t a high-school award. Best Dressed is about giving a stranger a compliment.” After all, you could always tell them they’re looking good over messages, voice chat, social media and whatnot.

The mid-season patch will buff Pulse Rifles, Handcannons, Auto Rifles and Sidearms for PvE and rework some Exotics. Stay tuned for more details when it goes live.
