Destiny 2: Black Armory Features Horde-Like Lost Forges, “Scourge of the Past” Raid

The Black Armory also introduces Ada-1 and new Golden Age weapons to craft.

Bungie has some big plans for Destiny 2 in the coming months. Earlier this year, the developer unveiled the Annual Pass, which will deliver three “premium content releases” for $34.99. It unveiled a vidoc recently to showcase some of the things we can expect to see. The Black Armory is coming up first on December 4th, and has quite lot to look forward to.

First off is the Black Armory itself, a new faction run by Ada-1. As a more secretive organization that distrusts the Vanguard, the Black Armory will task you with reigniting specific Lost Forges to build new weapons. The return of Heavy Machine Guns was revealed before, but with three different families having created the Forges, there’s probably more weapon types to look forward.

There are also Lost Forges, which are three-player, Horde-like activities that will unlock as the Season of the Forge progresses (with matchmaking supported). On December 7th, a new raid, “Scourge of the Past” will unlock, and will take players into The Last City, visiting “previously off-limits areas”.

That seems to be it thus far, but new weapons and gear, along with The Dawning seasonal event on December 11th, are also on the menu. Stay tuned for more information on Black Armory as it nears release.
