Bungie will begin ramping up the reveals and details for Destiny 2’s next expansion Shadowkeep this week. On top of a Twitch stream showcasing Armor 2.0 for each class, game director Luke Smith will release the first part of his lengthy State of the Game post today. Now called “Director’s Cut”, it’s a look back at the past six months of Destiny 2 while also explaining the changes that are coming in Shadowkeep.
At 20 pages, there’s a whole lot to go through. We expect all the upcoming changes to Shadowkeep to be revealed after the Armor 2.0 stream tomorrow. Of course, Bungie will also have some new details at Gamescom – it will be attending Opening Night Live with numerous other studios and might debut a new story trailer for the expansion.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is out on October 1st, after being delayed by two weeks for additional polish. Destiny 2: New Light, the free to play version of the game, will also launch on the same day for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In the meantime, PC players will be able to move their profiles from Battle.net to Steam on August 20th (with cross-save going live on August 21st).
