Destiny 2 Iron Banner 6v6 Delayed Due to “Late-Breaking Issue”

The weekly featured Crucible playlist will instead be six player Rumble.

Bungie’s Destiny 2 was finally set to receive its first 6v6 mode with Iron Banner returning tomorrow. Unfortunately, it seems that fans of the mode (and hates of 4v4) will have to wait – the limited time Crucible playlist has been delayed.

As per community manager Cozmo on the official forums, the delay is due to “a late-breaking issue” found through internal testing. It would cause all players to return to Orbit the error “ANTEATER” under certain time and score conditions. The developer is currently working on the issue but won’t have it fixed by tomorrow.

Instead, Rumble will be returning and features many of the changes that players suggested when the mode first returned to Destiny. It will now have six players instead of eight with fixes to spawning. You can also expect issues occurring with black screens during the Tower and Raid to be addressed.

In the meantime, Bungie is already hyping up the next Destiny 2 DLC which is rumoured to feature AI Warmind Rasputin. A reveal is expected this week so stay tuned for more updates.
