Destiny 2: The Final Shape’s New Supers and Subclasses Revealed

Destiny 2: The Final Shape is bringing new Supers and Aspects for all three classes, each focusing on a different sub-class.

Bungie has revealed more details about Destiny 2‘s upcoming expansion, The Final Shape. This time around, the studio has provided details about three new Light subclass Supers and Aspects that will be making their way into the game with the release of Destiny 2: The Final Shape. Each class in Destiny 2—Titan, Hunter and Warlock—is getting a new Super.

The Titan is getting the Twilight Arsenal Super for its Void subclass which allows the player to throw three Void axes that will pull enemies in before exploding, and weakening anything that survives. The thrown axes can also be picked up by the player and members of their fireteams to be used as melee weapons.

The new Titan Aspect is Unbreakable, which allows players to consume a grenade to make a shield that blocks damage. The shield can also be released to deal massive damage in an area.

Hunters are getting the Storm’s Edge Super for the Arc subclass, which has the player throw an Arc dagger, teleporting the Hunter forward. The player will then perform a whirlwind strike where they teleport. A full Super bar allows for three uses of Storm’s Edge.

Hunters will also get the new Ascension Aspect, which allows them to consume their class ability while airborne, propelling the Hunter upwards and damaging and jolting nearby enemies while also buffing their fireteam.

Warlocks will be able to use the Song of Flame Super for the Solar subclass. Using the super has the Warlock become radiant, in the process overcharging their melee ability and turning their grenade into a Spirit of Flame that looks for nearby enemies to explode near. Fireteam members in range also get a boost to ability regeneration, damage resistance, and the scorch effect applied to Solar and Kinetic weapons.

In the Aspects department, Warlocks will get Hellion, which allows them to summon a Solar Soul that attacks distant enemies with mortars.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape is slated to hit all platforms on February 27. Bungie has stated that the expansion will be a pivotal moment in the game’s overall story, bringing an end to what the studio is referring to as the Light and Darkness saga.
