Bungie’s Destiny 2 has a bunch of content coming next week, whether it’s the Festival of the Lost and the introduction of the Haunted Forest, or Iron Banner’s return. So of course new update update would also be going live for back-end maintenance. Update 2.0.4 will be deployed on October 16th at 7 AM PDT, and it’s required to play Festival of the Lost.
Starting from 7 AM PDT, maintenance on Destiny 2 will begin, with no downtime expected. Destiny Companion features may be unavailable on third-party apps and mobile as the update releases for all regions and platforms. At 9:45 AM PDT, players will be removed from their activities and prompted to install the update at the title screen.
Maintenance will end at 10 AM PDT with Companion features re-enabled. Though more detailed patch notes will be available next Tuesday, players can expect to see the names of looted Lost Sectors when hovering over them on the map and new Legendary weapons added to the loot pool. Scout Rifle damage in PvE and against Gambit foes (not including players) will also be increased, and up to three Pursuits can be tracked at a time.
