Bungie may be “free” from Activision, holding the rights to Destiny, but Xur’s will is still not his own. Translation: If you were waiting for the Exotic vendor to carry Year 2 Exotics for Destiny 2, then you better keep waiting. Xur can be found in the Tower’s Hangar, where he’ll remain until the reset tomorrow.
This week’s Exotic gear includes Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Hunter gloves), Doom Fang Pauldron (Titan gloves), and Crown of Tempests (Warlock helm). Each item costs 23 Legendary Shards and works well for its respective class. Want to throw more shields as a Sentinel, for instance? Pick up Doom Fang Pauldron. Pick up everything if you’re new, regardless.
The Exotic weapon this week is Merciless. Costing 29 Legendary Shards and being available multiple times in the past several months doesn’t diminish this fusion rifle’s value. It deals good damage, and charge time will reduce with each subsequent non-lethal shot until your target is dead. This makes it perfect for Elite and boss damage.
