Destiny PS4 vs Xbox One: Head To Head 1080p Video Comparison Shows PS4 Has Better Texture Filtering

A comparison of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the beta.

Now that the Destiny Beta is available across PlayStation and Xbox platforms, comparisons videos are popping up all over the internet. Youtube user ElAnalistaDeBits has compared the footage from the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the Destiny Beta and it clearly shows the difference between the two versions.

Apparently the PlayStation 4 version has better texture filtering than the Xbox One. Texture filtering is a process in games development wherein textures look smoother using the colors of the near by pixels of textures. This gives a more softer and smoother image quality. It must be noted that this comparison is only limited to the beta and is in no way final, as the Xbox One version is currently not running at full 1080p resolution. The Xbox One version will run at 1080p at launch.

Destiny is out this September for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. For more on the game check out out its hub page here.
