Destiny to Feature 32 Story Missions, 23 Strikes, 148 Activities

However, each planet will only one Explore mission apiece.

Bungie’s Destiny has concluded its beta stage and DestinyDB has data-mined it to find out the total number of missions there will be at launch.

As the site’s owner puts it, “There are 23 known story missions, 8 unknown and 1 mission are the credits. For the strike there are 5 nightfall missions, 6 normal missions, 4 vanguard missions and the rest are duplicate. I have a feeling that the nightfall missions are the regular missions during the night although I can’t confirm this at all.” It also seems that there 148 total activities in the game.

In a Twitch session with 2old2play though, Bungie community manager David Dague revealed there will only be one free roam mission per planet. So if you wanted to explore Earth outside of the Cosmodrome, you’ll be out of luck. Though the planets thus far are Earth, the Moon, Venus and Mars, it seems that there will be expansions to add more planets taking place outside of the solar system.
