Destiny Update Makes the First Loot Cave Canon

Master Rahool isn't even close to satisfied.

Loot caves continue to spawn in the universe of Bungie’s Destiny and the developer continues to patch them with the most recent Rocketyard loot farming spot closed for business. However, the first loot cave that started it all has now become canon in the Destiny universe.

As the above video (courtesy of Achievement Hunter) explains, you need to head to the Cosmodrome in Old Russia during patrol to the old loot cave. Once there, you’ll find a pile of ashes and a prompt to “Disturb the Remains”. Upon doing so, a haunted voice says, “A million deaths are not enough for Master Rahool.” What does this mean? Well, the sheer number of Fallen enemies that have been murdered were done so that players could farm Engrams, especially since this was before Purple and Yellow Engrams were patched to guarantee Legendary and Exotic items respectively.

Master Rahool is the Cryptarch by the way. Essentially, the game seems to be saying that your mass genocide isn’t enough for the Cryptarch and you should keep playing Destiny. Maybe. Let us know what you think of this nifty little nod to the original Easter Egg in the comments.
