Deus Ex: Human Revolution Could Be Made Backwards Compatible on Xbox One Soon

'I did... ask for this?'

Square Enix is apparently trying to have the Xbox 360 version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution made compatible with the Xbox One, the publisher revealed. Discussing the possibility of backwards compatibility in a tweet, the publisher said that the development team is working on it, and that they should have some good news soon.

Of course, given that backwards compatibility on the Xbox One is largely automatic, with no additional effort required from the publisher apart from just giving Microsoft the go ahead, one has to wonder exactly what the development team is working on.

Backwards compatibility on Xbox One is set to launch this November; at launch, it will have 100 Xbox 360 games available to play on the Xbox One. More and more publishers are joining the initiative, so eventually, it should be possible for the bulk of the Xbox 360’s library to be playable on the Xbox One.

If Human Revolution is coming to Xbox One via BC, we will let you know, so stay tuned.
