Diablo 3 Sells 20 Million Units, Activision Blizzard Revenue at $658 Million for Past Quarter

Unfortunately, net income is down by half from the previous year's quarter.

Activision Blizzard revealed its financial earnings for the past quarter ending on June 30th which included World of Warcraft subscriber numbers, it announced that Diablo 3 had managed to sell more than 20 million copies worldwide. This includes sales of the original game and the Reaper of Souls expansion on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The Ultimate Evil Edition will be out later this month on PS4 and Xbox One, bringing the hack and slash adventure to current gen users.

The publisher also revealed its revenue for the past quarter which was $658 million. Net income was $45 million though which is half of last year’s income during the same quarter ($90 million) but about 73 percent of total revenue was from digital sales.
