Diablo 4 Day One Build Will Have “Very Few Changes” from Server Slam – Blizzard

Associate game director Joseph Piepiora confirmed that the launch version would have some balance changes and bug fixes.

Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 4 is out on June 6th but launches early on June 2nd worldwide for Deluxe and Ultimate Edition owners. With pre-loads now live on all platforms, associate game director Joseph Piepiora revealed on Twitter that the launch version is similar to the Server Slam build.

“The Server Slam build was not .9, but actually a version of our day one build! There will be *very few* changes between this build and the one players will be playing at launch.” Said changes include balance changes and bug fixes, but again, don’t expect anything too crazy.

At the very least, Necromancer Skeletons were buffed during the Server Slam to make them die less. Progress also doesn’t carry over between builds, so ensure you delete the Server Slam build if it’s installed.

In another tweet, Piepiora said the team are “evaluating the game” and is “prepared to make adjustments as we go to ensure a smooth gameplay experience.” Of course, “Launch is only the beginning,” so you can expect even more changes when Season 1 launches mid to late July. There will also be new content with questlines, Legendaries, a Battle Pass and a self-contained seasonal story.

Diablo 4 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
