DOOM Campaign Is About 13 Hours Long, According to Bethesda

That sounds just perfect.

Bethesda and id Software are hard at work on DOOM, the reboot of the classic franchise that popularized first person shooters in the marketplace in the first place. While a lot of players were skeptical of the new game upon its initial reveal, over time, as we have learned more and more of the title, it has become clear that the game promises to be the kind of old school FPS experience that fans of the series would like.

At this point, one of the only worries left was that the campaign would be short- modern FPS campaigns are generally 3-4 hour longs, and can be completed in single sittings. Something like that definitely wouldn’t jive with DOOM. Thankfully, then, DOOM promises to be far longer than that. Bethesda say that on average, the game should take players about 13 hours to finish, though of course, considerations like what difficulty level you are playing on also factor in.

DOOM is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
