DOOM Gets A New Teaser Hinting At A Full E3 Reveal

Insert Doom pun here.

DOOM, the reboot of the classic id Software shooter franchise that has been long promised and teased, has just received a brand new, exciting, and mysteriously cryptic trailer, ahead of E3 next month. The trailer itself seems to hint that Bethesda (who now own id Software and the Doom license) will be announcing and revealing the game in full when they take the stage for their first ever press conference at E3 next month.

DOOM, which was originally going to be Doom 4, promises to bring back the kind of atmospheric, horror brand of shooter that made it such a runaway hit in the first place. The game’s beta has been promised to everybody who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order (a reboot of yet another classic id Software property) last year.

It’s anticipated to be on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, but we don’t know much else yet. We will, once it is fully announced next month.

If nothing else, at least this ensures that there will be one big announcement at Bethesda’s E3 press conference.
