Dragon Age: The Veilguard Surpasses 89,000 Concurrent Steam Players

Players continue to flock to BioWare and EA's newly released fantasy action RPG in numbers, going by how it is performing on Steam.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has proven to be divisive game, but its engagement numbers have nonetheless been strong immediately following its release, reflecting the excitement it generated in the lead-up to its release. On the day of its launch last week, the RPG saw over 70,00 concurrent Steam players, making it the biggest ever BioWare game on Steam by that metric, and the biggest ever single-player EA game on the platform. Unsurprisingly, over the weekend, it continued to attract a sizeable audience.

As per SteamDB, on Sunday, Dragon Age: The Veilguard hit a new peak of 89,418 concurrent players on Steam. That means it has surpassed the concurrent user peaks of the likes of Metaphor: ReFantazio (85961 peak concurrent players), Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (75,906 peak concurrent players), and God of War (73,529 peak concurrent players).

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Read our review of the game through here. BioWare has confirmed that it has no plans to develop DLC for the game, with the studio’s full attention now shifting to the next Mass Effect.
