Dragon Ball FighterZ Crosses 3.5 Million Units Shipped Worldwide

This milestone includes physical units shipped along with digital downloads.

Arc System Works’ Dragon Ball FighterZ has done pretty well for itself since launch, earning strong critical praise. Along with numerous free updates, it was even brought over to Nintendo Switch, which earned strong praise as well. As a result of the developer’s hard work, Dragon Ball FighterZ has managed to cross 3.5 million in worldwide shipments.

According to the game’s official Twitter, that figure includes digital download sales, along with physical shipments. The Dragon Ball Xenoverse series continues to be the most popular for Bandai Namco at 10 million sales worldwide. However, it’s great to see a single title like Dragon Ball FighterZ post such stellar numbers.

The fighter has received DLC characters along with other updates in the past year, but what’s coming next is still up in the air. We could see a new FighterZ Pass, adding even more characters to the game, akin to Street Fighter 5’s model. Arc System Works does have other things in development though, so we’ll have to wait and find out.
