Dragon Ball FighterZ Open Beta Facing Issues, Could Be Extended

Bandai Namco is working on a server update to address these issues.

Arc System Works’ Dragon Ball FighterZ beta went live over the weekend – it’s currently open for Xbox One and PS4 players. That being said, it’s suffered a number of network problems. Bandai Namco issued a statement on Facebook, asking fans to be patient as it addresses the issues at hand.

The publisher noted the possibility of the open beta being extended of issues couldn’t be addressed in a “decent amount of time”. It’s certainly a shame for those who pre-ordered and received early access but that’s the dice you roll when dealing with a beta. Regardless, stay tuned for the next server update to see if things improve.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on January 26th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It features 3v3 combat with a number of famous characters from the franchise including Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Beerus and much more. Along with online multiplayer, there will be a dedicated campaign with three arcs as the Z-Fighters, Frieza and the Androids battle against a resurrected Android 16.
