Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s Next DLC Will Take Place During Original Dragon Ball – Rumour

Rumors are looking to the future of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and what its next major DLC release will entail. We might even go back to classic Dragon Ball.

With the release of the Bardock – Alone Against Fate DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot just around the corner, rumours are now indicating that publisher Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect2 might be looking to the franchise’s past for the game’s next major DLC release.

According to Dragon Ball insider Hype, the next major DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will take use back to the final story arc of the original Dragon Ball, and will be based on the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai story arc.

Essentially the final story arc for the Dragon Ball anime and manga before it shifts its story into the events of Dragon Ball Z, the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai arc revolves around the titular martial arts tournament. Its main event is the final fight between series protagonist Goku and at-the-time antagonist Piccolo Jr.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be seeing the release of Bardock – Alone Against Fate on January 13. The DLC focuses on the story of Goku’s father and his hopeless fight against the forces of Frieza during the events that lead to the destruction of Planet Vegeta.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and its DLCs are available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This month will also see the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game.
