Dragon’s Dogma 2 Listed for March 22, 2024 Launch by PEGI

The action RPG has been rated 18 for "Violence", but the European rating system also noted the presence of in-game purchases.

Capcom recently announced a Dragon’s Dogma 2 showcase on November 28th, promising 15 minutes of new gameplay and details. However, major announcement has seemingly leaked courtesy of PEGI – the release date. According to its listing, the action RPG will launch on March 22nd, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.

Though rated 18 for “Violence,” in-game purchases are also specified. Capcom hasn’t confirmed or hinted at microtransactions, but it wouldn’t be surprising. After all, even games like the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4 remake have Exclusive Upgrade Tickets for unlocking the final upgrade on a weapon (which is also purchasable with in-game currency).

Time will tell, so stay tuned. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a single-player experience and follow-up to the cult-classic 2012 action RPG. It’s set in a different land, four times larger than Gransys with no loading screens, within the same universe. Many of the same elements, like the Arisen and Pawns, carry over, with players able to recruit the latter to serve them on their journey. Head here to see the game in action.
