Dying Light 2 was, at one point, one of the bigger games set to release in 2020. However, the game was delayed like so many games and ever since the first half of the year, it’s been almost complete silence (though the first game, incredibly enough, is still getting support). There have been rumors and reports that the development of the sequel is in bad state, though developer Techland has denied this to be the case. When will we know something? Well, that’s still up in the air, but we have at least some movement.
On a Discord channel, someone on the marketing team made a comment about the game. There isn’t very much here, only them saying that they will share more information about how development is going in the new year and promises of “fresh updates” soon (you can see a screencap of the message in question thanks to Reddit user GamerMom1969 through here).
In the few times it was shown and discussed before going silent, Dying Light 2 looked to be a pretty ambitious follow up to the highly popular zombie title. Whether or not it’ll retain that when it’s re-revealed is something we’ll just have to wait and see on. The game was said to be delayed ‘infinitely,’ so as of now there is no window for when the game will release.
