eFootball is Out on September 30, Launch Content Detailed

Konami's free-to-play football title will launch with 9 teams, 6 stadiums, offline matches, and weekly online events, with more updates coming in autumn.

Konami said not too long ago that upcoming free-to-play football game eFootball’s autumn launch would be pretty limited one, especially in terms of the content that will be on offer. Now they have detailed exactly when to expect it, and what to expect from it.

eFootball will launch September 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. As for the mobile version, the Android and iOS version of eFootball PES 2021 will be updating to eFootball later this year, some time in fall.

As for what content will be on offer when the game launches for PC and consoles? Not a lot, actually. Offline matches and AI or local opponents will be available, as will weekly online events (at launch, cross-play across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC will not be available).

There will be nine clubs in the game at launch (Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Flamengo, Juventus, Manchester United, River Plate, and São Paulo), in addition to six stadiums (Camp Nou, Old Trafford, Allianz Stadium, Emirates Stadium, Allianz Arena, and the eFootball Stadium).

Later in autumn, eFootball is going to get several content updates and additions, with the first one adding modes such as Creative Teams (which is essentially Ultimate Team), the PvP Challenge Event matches, Tour Event matches against AI, online quick match, and online match lobby.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks and months for more details on the game.
