Konami’s annual football sim series Pro Evolution Soccer took a major step last year when it rebranded itself and launched with the new free-to-play eFootball. Limited though it’s launch was, it was far from successful, and the game received widespread criticism from critics and players alike immediately upon release.
This week, Konami will be releasing eFootball in full with its version 1.0 update, and ahead of its release, the company has provided assurances that it’s been taking players’ feedback and criticism “very seriously” in an effort to bring the game up to an acceptable level of quality, and will continue to make improvements based on the same.
Speaking to VGC, a Konami spokesperson said: “We are taking the opinions of our players very seriously. Since the release last September, we have prioritised improvements and corrections based on the feedback and opinions we received. We will continue to work on the game’s improvement and as always, the player’s valued feedback is much appreciated.”
eFootball is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Its version 1.0 update is coming on April 14.
