Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Trailer Reveals Gorgeous Environments, Combat, and Familiar Faces

The strategy RPG, a spiritual successor to Suikoden from the original creators, is out in 2023 for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Rabbit and Bear Studios has released a new trailer for its strategy RPG, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. As a spiritual successor to Suikoden, it features over 100 playable characters. Those who played the companion prequel, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, may also see familiar faces (including a certain magical girl). Check it out below.

Set in Allraan, or more specifically in “one corner,” rune-lenses have been hugely influential on the alliances between various races. But when the Galdean Empire devises technology that can amplify their effects, things take a turn. The main characters are Seign Kesling, an imperial officer, and Nowa from a remote village, who become friends and are eventually dragged into the war.

While its sprites are 2D, the environments are fully 3D, creating a breathtaking effect. This is especially pronounced in combat, with the camera panning naturally. Published by 505 Games, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is out in 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC (via the Epic Games Store) and Nintendo Switch.
