Elden Ring DLC Category Updated on SteamDB, Potential Shadow of the Erdtree Details Coming

FromSoftware could be preparing an announcement for the upcoming paid expansion of its acclaimed open-world Souls-like RPG.

FromSoftware’s been somewhat quiet about Elden Ring’s upcoming paid expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. While it confirmed in December 2023 that it’s still “some ways off,” rumors indicated potential launch in February. Whatever the case may be, an announcement could be coming sooner than later.

As spotted by Zeta50 on ResetEra, something called “SteamDB Unknown App 2778580” was added to the DLC category on the game’s SteamDB listing. Though reportedly created few days ago, it’s only recently linked to the DLC section. It’s worth noting that this is the paid DLC section, so it’s unlikely to be a free update like Colosseum.

Unless FromSoftware plans to add new paid gestures or digital bonuses, this could be for Shadow of the Erdtree. Maybe the expansion is set to receive a release date announcement, and pre-orders will go live. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.

Elden Ring is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our review.
