Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Anticipation surrounding Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has been sky high pretty much since the day it was announced, though details on the expansion and when it will launch have been scant. Interestingly, however, new developments could be suggesting that its release might be closer than many would have expected.

As spotted by a user on Reddit, Datablitz recently put up a listing for upcoming Elden Ring-themed controllers made by Thrustmaster. Interestingly, the listing suggests that the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will release in February. As per the listing, the aforementioned controller will launch in February to “sync with the new Shadow of the Erdtree expansion release”.

A February release for Shadow of the Edtree might seem unlikely to some, given the fact that producer Yasuhiro Kitao recently said that the expansion was “still some way off”. Developer FromSoftware’s parent company Kadokawa Corporation has also previously suggested that the DLC won’t release this fiscal year, which ends on March 31.

Interestingly, the aforementioned listing also seems to point to a second expansion for the open world action RPG set to release sometime in 2025, with mention of future potential limited edition controllers themed after Elden Ring characters Malenia and Ranni. As per the listing, these controllers in 2025 to be “synchronized” with a “major keybeat or new game expansion.”

The listing has since been taken down, but you can view screenshots below.
