There’s been a flurry of leaks and rumours about Elden Ring recently. After Bandai Namco and FromSoftware announced the open world RPG back in 2019, both parties have been completely silent about the game, with remote working conditions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic reportedly having hampered development. Recently, however, clips for an unreleased trailer of the game have been circulating online.
The clips, however, have all been recorded off a screen at a tilted angle, showing blurry footage- far from the best way to view gameplay footage for the highly anticipated RPG for the first time. YouTuber The Lore Hunter, however, has used AI upscaling to upscale the full trailer to 720p. The footage is still far from the sharpest – it’s still off-screen footage, after all, and things aren’t nearly as clear as you’d want – but it’s certainly better than what we’ve seen so far.
It’s also worth remembering that this trailer was reportedly made using an older build of the game, and created entirely for internal purposes, and not meant to be shared with the public. You can take a look at it below.
Elden Ring’s release date still remains a mystery, though several sources are suggesting that it’s unlikely to release this year. That said, reports also indicate that we will be seeing re-reveal of the game soon- perhaps even as early as the end of this month. Stay tuned for more updates.
