Everspace 2 Exits Early Access on PC on April 6, Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S This Summer

Developer Rockfish Games has also announced that the previously announced PS4 and Xbox One versions have been cancelled.

Everspace 2 launched in early access over two years ago, and in the time since then, developer Rockfish Games has been building upon the game with number of major updates in response to feedback from players. In November, the developer confirmed that the open world space shooter would be exiting early access for its full launch sometime in early 2023, and now, a specific release date has been confirmed.

Everspace 2 will launch in full for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Microsoft Store on April 6. In the lead-up to the release, the game’s price will also be raised from the $39.99 it has been sold for throughout the early access period to $49.99.

Everspace 2’s PC launch will be followed by PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions sometime in the Summer. A fully optimized Steam Deck version will launch at the same time. Meanwhile, Rockfish Games has also announced that the previously announced PS4 and Xbox One versions have been cancelled.

Those looking to nab a physical copy of the game will be able to buy a deluxe edition on consoles, courtesy of Maximum Games, pre-orders for which will go live on April 6, alongside the game’s PC release. Details on what the edition will include will be revealed on the same day.
