Evolve Open Beta Coming in January

Only on Xbox One.

One of the most anticipated (and most exciting) games on the horizon is Turtle Rock’s upcoming asymmetric multiplayer shooter, Evolve. Players who were skeptical about it got the chance to go hands on with it themselves back when the Big Alpha occurred a few months ago, and now, 2K Games will be holding an open beta for the game in January, exclusively for the Xbox One.

The beta will start on January 15, and anyone is welcome to participate as long as they have an Xbox Live Gold subscription. The beta will feature the Hunt mode, giving players access to eight hunters and two monsters, while the Evacuation mode will be added to the beta on January 17.

But what if you have a PlayStation 4 or PC? Are you left out of the fun? Not really. As long as you were a participant in the Big Alpha on the PS4, you will get an invite to participate in a closed beta as well; the beta will be a bit more limited than the one on Xbox One, with no Evacuation mode, and none of your progress carrying over to the full game. Similarly, PC players who own either Left 4 Dead or Bioshock Infinite in their Steam libraries will be invited to participate in a limited beta test too.

So, guys… get on it! This is your chance to play what might be the biggest multiplayer game of next year before time.
