Exoprimal Gets New Game Mode with Weekly PvE Challenges and Late-Game Difficulty

The new Savage Gauntlet game mode will see Exoprimal players take on late-game challenges to get on the leaderboards on a weekly basis.

Capcom has released a new update for co-op dinosaur shooter Exoprimal, bringing with it new co-op game mode. Dubbed Savage Gauntlet, the new game mode is free to all Exoprimal players on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Savage Gauntlet involves players taking on special missions. The game mode largely revolves around late-game content in terms of difficulty. Five players have to team up to take on challenges that are set to rotate in and out every week. Savage Gauntlet will see new rules and scenarios each week.

The game mode also features weekly missions, encouraging teams to compete for the fastest completion times on global leaderboards. The weekly missions are replayable, encouraging further attempts at climbing up leaderboards, with high-ranking squads earning rewards.

The new game mode’s challenges kick off every week on Thursday, and will run through Mondays.

Exoprimal has seen a moderate level of success, having surpassed 1 million players earlier this month. For more details on the game, check out our review.
