Recently, Spike’s Video Game Awards have become a center stage for game developers to show off their next big game announcement. If you take a look at the past few VGAs, you won’t help but notice that several blockbuster games like The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and a ton of other games were first revealed at the popular awards ceremony.
It’s been about three years since Bethesda Game Studios announced Skyrim, the last installment in the popular Elder Scrolls series, at the VGAs 2010. Fallout 3 was released way back in 2008 so its more than 5 years and surely by this time they must be well into the development process of sequel. With evidence mounting that the next series is indeed under development, a announcement at this year’s VGA seems plausible.
With recent reports of Bethesda hiring a next gen console programmer, level designer and even Obsidian Entertainment game designer Chris Avellone sharing his thoughts on what the next game should include, it is only a matter of time before Bethesda drops the bomb.
What are your thoughts? Do you think Bethesda Game Studios will finally lift off the curtains from Fallout 4 at this year’s VGAs? Let us know in the comments section below.
