Fallout 4 Has Officially Gone Gold

Bethesda officially puts even the smallest rumors of delay to bed one final time.

Back when Bethesda announced Fallout 4 was going to be coming this November, back in June, there were plenty of people who doubted the company could actually make that deadline. There is very little doubt that this game was going to sell at quite a brisk pace when it was first announced. The pre-order for the title has been available for quite a while now and that has led to people running out to get the game weeks, if not months before it is actually available.

Bethesda has also done a very nice job of marketing this game. Back when it was first announced, the big demand was for the collectable and wearable Pip Boy that could actually fit a user’s smartphone. These days, that Pip Boy is no longer available to new preorders. While the company is still offering something for buying the game, these days it’s offering up socks. While that might be the best thing in the world, when it comes to making people want to buy the game, it’s actually the quirky way the firm has handled this game that has made it as popular as it is.

In total, there are 27 different versions of the game to be shipped and on Twitter on Friday, Bethesda officially announced the game had gone gold. That of course means the developer believes the game is complete, or at least complete enough to start shipping. As is the case with most games these days, there will likely be a launch day patch to fix issues the developers might catch in the next few weeks. Fallout 4 has been slated for November 10, 2015 and now we know Bethesda is officially going to hit that date.
