Fallout 76 Inventory Update Increases Stash Limit, Out on January 26th

New Pip-Boy tabs, stack weight, and much more also incoming.

The first major update for Bethesda’s Fallout 76 is coming up early next week and it provides numerous improvements to the inventory system. As outlined in a new video, the Inventory Update will increase the weight limit of one’s stash from 800 to 1200 lbs. The Pip-Boy is also getting three new tabs to manage items more easily.

The “New” tab is straightforward – it will arrange items based on how recently they were earned. The “Armor” tab is where armor will now go, separating it from regular attire, while the “Food and Drink” tab is now for all food and drink items. Chems and first-aid now fall under the “Aid” tab.

When looking at one’s stash, you’ll be able to see the total weight of a stack along with the individual weight per item. Vending machines by players can also be previewed from the map, allowing you to check at a glance whether any Legendary items are for sale. More in-game events are also coming this year but in the meantime, the Inventory Update will release on January 26th for all platforms.
