Fallout 76 PC Beta Faces Issues, Bethesda Extending Next Session

The November 1st beta will run for an additional four hours.

Bethesda’s beta for Fallout 76 went live for PC and PS4 for the first time yesterday. While the PS4 beta seemingly went by without a hitch, PC players faced a rather major issue. A bug with the Bethesda Launcher would result in some users having to re-download the entire game. Given the beta’s limited-time nature, that’s not good at all.

Thankfully, Bethesda recognizes this and plans to extend the next session on November 1st for an additional four hours. So you can look forward to playing from 2 PM ET to 11 PM ET. That is, if you’ve already cleared your schedule for the day. To be fair, Bethesda did warn that the beta would shed light on “spectacular issues none of us have encountered”. Hopefully, this particular bug will be fixed before the next session.

Don’t worry about starting from scratch when the day comes around – all progress will carry over at release. You’ll have all the time in the world to experience the copious amounts of side content and peruse the cosmetics shop.
