While it is normal for most games to get price drops a while after release, it is not normal for the discounts to be as steep as they were for Fallout 76, just week after the title launched. That’s what happened, however, and a lot of people who jumped on board with Fallout 76, and found a dissatisfactory product, were, to put it kindly, unhappy with it when it did.
Apparently, Bethesda is trying to make good by them by offering them in-game compensation. Reddit user IzaakGoldblaum reports that they got 500 Atoms (the premium currency in the game that you purchase with real money) in-game after submitting support ticket with Bethesda’s customer support. While this is not indication that you will too, there’s no harm in at least trying to reach out to Bethesda and see how it goes for you.
But with that said, given how poor the launch for this game has been, it would be prudent for Bethesda to break their radio silence, and communicate a roadmap for the future of the game with their fans.
