Fallout 76’s Next Major Patch Delayed, Coming Tomorrow

Originally slated to arrive today, Bethesda confirms that the update needs "more time to brew".

Bethesda’s next big update for Fallout 76 has faced a small delay. Patch 7 for the online survival title was originally scheduled for today, but will now be releasing tomorrow according to the official Twitter for the game. According to Bethesda, “We just need a little more time to brew,” referencing the Brewing and Distilling crafting system that’s also coming in the update.

That’s not all that fans can look forward to though. The first of Wild Appalachia’s content will see changes to Heavy and Energy weapons, making the former deal more damage and the latter suffer less condition damage, thus lengthening their overall life. C.A.M.P. placement adjustments are also coming for players to make building that much more intuitive.

The delay shouldn’t affect the release of the Fasnacht Parade, Fallout 76’s first seasonal event, which is still scheduled to go live on March 19th and end on March 26th. Players will help protect a parade of robots during the festival, earning increasingly better loot in the process. The repeatable quest will also allow players to earn some spooky masks as rare drops.
