In 2015, Bethesda released two Fallout games, Fallout 4, the one that everyone had thought they wanted, and Fallout Shelter, a delightful mobile game spin off that tasked players with managing their own Vault-Tec vault. Now, they have decided to bring the better one of those two to Steam- Fallout Shelter is available to download on Steam today.
Fallout Shelter is basically a management sim- you build facilities in your vault, you assign your vault dwellers to them, you try to maximize happiness, you try to keep your vault safe from raiders, you send vault dwellers out into the wasteland to gather materials, and so on. It’s really addictive, and Bethesda has continued adding content to it since its launch.
The game was originally released on iOS and Android, but was then released on Xbox one and Windows 10; now it’s available on Steam, too. It’s free to play as well, so you have nothing to lose. Go give it a shot.
