For all the flak Ubisoft got this year following the disastrous launch of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, the highly over-hyped and under-delivering Watch Dogs and the somewhat middling response to The Crew, it did get most things right with Far Cry 4. This doesn’t mean the game launched without issues but it lacked most of the horrible bugs plaguing Ubisoft’s recent catalog.
Ubisoft has also been fairly prompt with the updates and patches. Less than a month later, we’re now at patch 1.5.0 which adds a variety of options and fixes. These include the addition of 21:9 aspect ratio and Russian text/subtitles to the worldwide version; fixing issues with aim assist, mouse input, controls, graphics, session browser and UI; the removal of the Nvidia graphics preset; and a reduced performance drop that occurs while streaming.
The patch is only available for PC users currently so expect news on a patch for current and previous gen consoles in the coming days.
