Far Cry 6 is Receiving a New Expansion “Soon”; $120 Game of the Year Edition is Out Now

Far Cry 6 Game of the Year Edition retails for $119.99, but those who own the base game can upgrade to it for an additional $59.99.

As recent reports suggested, “Game of the Year Edition” for Ubisoft’s open world first person shooter Far Cry 6 is very much real- and in fact, it’s launched for PlayStation and Xbox and is available for purchase. The release hasn’t been accompanied by any official communication from Ubisoft so far, but Far Cry 6 Game of the Year Edition is available for purchase right now on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store.

It includes the base game, all the free updates that have been released for it since launch, and the original Season Pass, which includes three post-launch DLC episodes featuring past Far Cry villains as playable characters, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. In addition, the Game of the Year Edition also includes a new expansion, Lost Between Worlds, which is “coming soon”.

The entire package costs a whopping $119.99. Those who already own the base game can upgrade to the Game of the Year Edition, but even that costs $59.99. So far, details on the new expansion and what its scale and size will be remain scant.
