A lot of attention has been paid to the next generation versions of FIFA 14, particularly with Ultimate Team Legends being exclusive to the Xbox One, not to mention the free to play version of the game for mobiles and FIFA Online 3 in China. If you noticed carefully, there was virtually nothing mentioned about the PlayStation Vita version of FIFA 14.
When speaking to Eurogamer after the conference at Gamescom, EA Sports’ David Rutter stated that, “There will be a Vita version, and it’ll be the same great gameplay.” However, when asked if it would be the same as FIFA Soccer and FIFA 13, he reiterated that, “It’s the same great gameplay and new kits.”
You could take this to mean that they haven’t brought the majority of the home console versions’ tweaks to the handheld version, or that EA Sports is just giving gamers more of the same. We’ll find out when the Vita version release alongside the Xbox 360, PC and PS3 version (among others) on September 24th in North America and September 26th in Europe.
