The latest UK physical sales charts for the week ending December 5th are out, showcasing the impact of Cyber Monday sales. FIFA 21 is on top even with sales dropping 37 percent week-on-week. Though the PS5 version under-performed compared to all others (even the Switch version), it’s more likely that the most owners of the game simply opted into the free upgrade path.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was in second place followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the latter seeing its sales increase 20 percent week-on-week. Immortals Fenyx Rising also debuted in the previous week in 11th place. The PS5 version accounted for 35 percent of sales, followed by the Switch with 30 percent.
It’s worth noting that launch sales are 40 percent lower than Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity which is a hack and slash prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Digital sales have yet to be revealed so perhaps things will be better on that front. Check out the top ten best-selling titles in the UK for the past week below.
