Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s Scenario Writer Is Disappointed Over Recent Leaks

Not hard to understand why.

As one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year (to put it mildly), there’s a whole lot of eyes on Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and in the past couple weeks, it’s gotten exactly the kind of widespread attention Square Enix would have been hoping to avoid. Recently, a demo of the game leaked online in its entirety, which led to dataminers discovering the tons of details from the full game itself (including the ending as well). Obviously, that’s something that members of the game’s development team are none too pleased about.

For instance, recently, Kazushige Nojima of Square Enix – who is the scenario writer on Final Fantasy 7 Remake – took to Twitter to express his disappointment, saying (via US Gamer), “This leak sure tramples over a lot of things.” Given the scale of the leak and the fact that the game is still under development (and hence a work in progress) – which means people online currently have access to unfinished work – it’s not hard to see why Nojima is disappointed.

In fact, the recent leak also points to an eventual PC port for Final Fantasy 7 Remake (though it won’t be out for at least year). You can read more on that through here.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out for the PS4 on March 3.
