11 bit Studios third and final expansion for Frostpunk, On the Edge, will be releasing this Summer. Formerly known as Project TVADGYCGJR, the expansion will introduce a new story scenario set that takes place right after the Great Storm. Check out the teaser trailer below.
Taking place after the base game’s campaign, On the Edge will introduce new challenges and a new “desolate” map for players to survive on. There will be “unique mechanics” to encounter in the city and out in the Frostland. Like before, however, survival will be paramount even if it comes at great moral cost.
Frostpunk has had quite the support since launching for PC back in 2018 (check out our review here). It’s seen number of free updates like Survivor Mode, The Fall of Winterhome and Endless Mode along with paid expansion, The Last Autumn. The studio is working hard on a new project, which will likely release in 2021, so stay tuned for more details on that in the coming year.
