Gears 5 is here, and it’s been a huge success for the franchise. Not only did it see rave critical acclaim, but it was also the best launch of this generation for Microsoft and huge boost to their Game Pass program. Now it’s up to the multiplayer to shoulder the continued engagement for the game, and one thing you always have to deal with in any kind of competitive multiplayer is the quitters. Well, Gears 5 is no exception, but it seems as if The Coalition is really taking the chainsaw to them this go around with a very harsh new penalty.
Those who quit will see escalating suspension time period for every time they quit during a match. That means your account can be suspended for a week, a month or even more than a year if you’re a chronic rage quitter. With each quit, more suspension time is piled on. The Coalition tweeted out that they will do an unban period, but with a stern warning to all those quitters that you’re 1 quit away from a new suspension. Definitely no chill on this ride.
Gears 5 is available for Xbox One and PC. For some tips on how to get better at the multiplayer so you don’t have to rage quit all the time, we got you covered through here.
