Ghost Recon Breakpoint Will Require An Active Internet Connection

You won't be able to play Breakpoint offline.

Ubisoft recently revealed Ghost Recon Breakpointa game that’s looking to follow up and double down on everything that made Ghost Recon Wildlands the success that it was. For instance, where Wildlands was built as game best played co-operatively with other players, in Breakpoint, that’s emphasized even further, with AI squadmates no longer being available as an option when playing solo. Instead, if you play solo, you’ll have a drone helping you out, which means you’ll have to play co-op if you want non-mechanical partners.

Even if you play solo though, you’ll still require an active internet connection. In response to a query on Twitter, the official Ghost Recon Breakpoint account confirmed that the game would not be playable offline, and would require a constant online connection, similar to other Ubisoft titles like The Division and Rainbow Six Siege.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint will also be supported with raids after its launch, and the first of those raids will take place in volcano. Read more on that through here. Breakpoint launches on October 4 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. On PC, it will be available only via Uplay and the Epic Games Store.
