A few days ago we told you about what you’re going to need if you want to play Grand Theft Auto V in the highly sought after 4K resolution that, frankly speaking, makes the console resolution and frame rate debate seem like a crying child begging for attention. PC Gamer recently sat down to talk with Rockstar developers, director of technology Phil Hooker, director of engineering Klaas Schilstra and technical director Adam Fowler, to ask them about 4K.
When they asked about how 4K will “transform” a players experience in the game world, the developers said, “Do you think it’ll transform the way they experience that world? 4k is an eye opener when you see if for the first time, it really does make you look at the world differently and in greater detail as you would expect.”
“That said, you could probably say the same thing about a lot of the other high-end graphical options and ultimately it will be personal preference which particular resolution and graphical settings that each player decides to settle on.” 4K may not be the norm just yet, but that’s a glorious future worth looking forward to..if you can support it that is.
Grand Theft Auto 5 will launch on PC next week and will most likely be the final platform the game will launch on. The popular and multi-million selling game is already available on PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
