Grand Theft Auto 6 was officially unveiled last month, but with the open world behemoth still at least a year away from launch (probably more), there’s still plenty yet that we don’t know about it. When Rockstar Games will choose to begin revealing further information on the game remains to be seen, but as always, some little tidbits keep finding ways of filtering through via unexpected sources.
Recently, for instance, rapper Faheem Rashad Najm – who’s better known as T-Pain – revealed on a stream on that he has been working with Rockstar Games on Grand Theft Auto 6. The rapper confirmed the same when asked about why he is no longer active in GTA Online’s RP community, stating that Rockstar advised him to step back once he started working on Grand Theft Auto 6.
“I used to be on NoPixel, then I started working on GTA 6, and they told me I couldn’t do RP anymore,” he said (via IGN). “It kind of goes against… they had this whole speech, like, ‘What if somebody took your album and re-recorded it, and more people were listening to that,’ and I’m like, ‘Okay, I kind of get that, but I was having a good time. Alright that’s fine.'”
Najm didn’t go into what role he plays in Grand Theft Auto 6. Many are speculating he will be voicing a radio host, though then again, there’s also the chance that he has a larger role to play as a more prominent character.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is due out sometime in 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
